Dr Daniela Salm advises clients on all matters pertaining to German and European antitrust and subsidy law. Her services in the area of antitrust law include, without limitation, advising on domestic and international antitrust fine, antitrust damages, merger control and abuse-of-dominance proceedings, on how to structure distribution systems, on forms of cooperation among competitors and on licence agreements. She also provides preventive (compliance) advice in this regard. In the area of subsidy law, Daniela Salm focuses her legal practice on the legally compliant design of subsidies and the defence of arrangements under state aid law in proceedings before German courts, as well as in proceedings before the European Commission and the European courts.
Dr Daniela Salm studied law in Konstanz and Berlin (both Germany). After carrying out her legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, she worked as a research assistant at Humboldt University in Berlin, at the Chair for Comparative Corporate, Commercial, Labour and Employment Law of Prof. Dr Christine Windbichler, simultaneously doing her doctorate there. Daniela Salm was admitted to the German Bar in 2010 and worked at various large international law firms and institutions in Berlin (Germany), Bangkok (Thailand) and Brussels (Belgium) before joining Luther’s Brussels office in 2018.
